MAIN TEXT:  2 Corinthians 1:19-22 “ 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, [even] by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. 20 For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, [is] God; 22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. “

2 Corinthians 1:19-20 (AMP) “19  For the Son of God, Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who has been preached among you by us, by myself, Silvanus, and Timothy, was not Yes and No; but in Him it is [always the divine] Yes.  20  For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God. “

What is faith?  Some might quote, Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) “ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. “.- and indeed that is what faith is and does.  But the whole point about faith is an acting believing in “something”.   But faith that moves God must be based on the right thing!

Romans 10:17 “ So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. “

True faith brings reality to the things hoped for… and that hope comes from God’s Word, and gives evidence of things not seen.  We believe it before we see it because of the strength of the promise, and that brings substance or reality into the hope.

People today will claim things that God is just not into.  Greed and self-will is the motivation many times, and just plugging the name of Jesus at the end of it does not mean that God will bless it.  God does not bless fleshly self-willGod does not bless disobedience.

Having faith in the wrong thing is disastrous.  God does NOT help those who help themselves, but He helps those who abide in Him and walk in faith.  Sometimes the people of God have faith in seem-right things and sometimes they are basing their faith in “another gospel” that God is not in.

There literally is but one way:  John 14:6 (KJV) “ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. “

And to have the promises of God and Jesus Christ and His Word, then we have to abide in God and His Word  John 15:6-8 (KJV) “ 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.   7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.   8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. “

1 John 5:14-15 (KJV) “ 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:   15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. “

Psalms 37:3-5 (KJV) “ 3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.   4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.   5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. “

Having faith in any other god or thing is a train wreck ready to happen.

The promises of God are yes and amen... in Jesus Christ, the promises of God are established and shall be done.  The gospel that Paul preached was not yes and no, but it was yes in God.  It is established and so and shall be done for Jesus Christ is true and faithful.

When we abide in Jesus and walk in His Word, then we can believe upon Him and believe the promises of God knowing that we can ask in THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST and Jesus will back it up.  The promises of God are in Jesus YES and AMEN… they shall be accomplished.

What your foundation of faith is shall determine the results of that faith.  You have to believe in something that is faithful and able to deliver to know that you know that you know that it is going to be.  Jesus Christ is the base of our faith, and He must be at the center or we will fall.

THE PROMISES OF GOD ARE YES AND AMEN IN JESUS CHRIST!  THEY ARE ESTABLISHED IN JESUS CHRIST AND THEY FLOW THROUGH FAITH IN HIM!

A few of the things that Jesus brought through the New Covenant and given to us through the anointing (Spirit of the Lord)… Luke 4:18-19 (KJV) “ 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,   19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. “

There is hope for the hurting and needy!  There is help for the brokenhearted.  There is deliverance for those who are bound by sin or demons or addictions. There is healing for those who are sick including recovering of sight to the blind!  There is liberty for those who have been crushed!  There is JUBILEE… where the captives are freed and we can rejoice in the presence of the Lord!

Folks, these are promises of the New Covenant… they are established YES and AMEN in Jesus Christ, and HE paid the price for us to have them at the cross!

 QUICK VERSION:  GOD’S BLANK CHECK

Matthew 7:7-11 (KJV) “ 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:   8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.   9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?   10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?   11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? “

WHAT CHECK IS FOR:

SINS:   To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever

believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. (Acts 10:43)

ETERNAL LIFE: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

RESURRECTION:25  Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? (John 11)

THIRSTY:13  Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14  But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. (John 4)

HUNGRY: And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (John 6:35)

SICK: Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. (Acts 3:6)

PROVISION:  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

DO YOU HAVE A NEED.... ASK      DO YOU NEED A WAY WHERE THERE IS NONE... KNOCK

WHO IS IT MADE OUT TO?  WHOSOEVER… to believers in Jesus Christ… Yea and Amen!

WHEN IS IT DATED FOR? (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.) (2 Corinthians 6:2)

12  Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13  But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; (Hebrews 3)

IT IS A BLANK CHECK... WHAT YOU RECEIVE WILL DEPEND UPON WHAT WE HAVE FAITH ENOUGH TO PUT AS THE AMOUNT… has He promised it?  In Him are the promises of God established YES and AMEN!  Put in what you need!

THE CHECK CAN BE CASHED BECAUSE IT IS ALREADY SIGNED... JESUS AUTHORIZED IT WITH HIS OWN BLOOD.

Romans 5:1-2 " 1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. "

WE CASH THE CHECK BY FAITH
