Compromise

Definition of “COMPROMISE”: According to Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary: b : something intermediate between or blending qualities of two different things 2 : a concession to something derogatory or prejudicial *a compromise of principles*

The first definition had to do with two people or parties arbitrating their own personal desires and coming to a joint blending, which does not fit into the meaning of the word I wish to explore today. I want to talk about compromising what is right and wrong.

If you are receiving this or reading this and are not a Christian, then you will probably not be able to relate to this. I understand. If you are a Christian, which means that you love Jesus… and because of that love want to please Him and keep His commandments, then you need to take a moment and read and think.

The word says that there is no true right or wrong, only shades of grey. Is this true? Does God say that this is true? Does the Bible say that this is true? Do you know (once you get past the part of you that wants to excuse yourself when you are doing wrong) really that this is true?

This is the Great Compromise that most of us use to try and excuse ourselves when we know that we are doing wrong, but do not want to admit to it. We can find all kinds of carnally minded reasons to support what we are doing, and yet… we know that we are wrong in God’s eyes. We know that we are siding on the wrong side, though we are ready to fight to justify ourselves.

MAIN TEXT: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (KJV) “ 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. “

This little thought-provoking mini-article or devotion will aggravate probably most people, but it is the truth. The truth MUST be told. There are two areas that I have seen gross compromise with evil by people who call themselves by the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God this week.

I mean, these are people who say that they love God, and yet there are some things that literally (according to God’s Word) that God literally hates that they are embracing and they are justifying themselves in the compromise.

See, you and I can compromise over what we want personally, but we will never get away with compromising what is right with God. Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV) “ 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting“

We reap what we sow, period. We will not get away with it when we rise up in our pride and do what we want to do no matter what God says. When we do that, WE ARE SAYING THAT WE KNOW BETTER THAN GOD! James 4:6 (KJV) “ But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. “

CURRENT POLITICAL MESS OF THE USA: Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans have produced in the past decades a major presidential candidate (in the U.S.A.) that have really had a strong moral stand for things that are just plain right. Even those who claim to have stood against issues like abortion (the murder of the innocent unborn) have done so with qualification that basically ends up a compromise.

Notice that the past 8 years, you have had the majority of the time with a so-called conservative president and Congress, and yet abortion has not been seriously curtailed and we are reaching close to 50 million innocent babies slaughtered under the authority of our government. That is 50,000,000 innocent human lives whose life’s blood is calling out from the ground for vengeance to God.

NOTE that I will not and am not telling you who to vote for. That is not my place. But as a Watchman, I must tell you that if the people of God vote for someone who is openly for what God opposes and literally makes a stand for “EVIL”, then they have yoked themselves together with darkness… an unbeliever, and will stand before God and answer for that.

Mr. Obama is quoted as saying this: "Well, the first thing I'd do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That's the first thing that I'd do." - Barack Obama

This act will give a code of law allowing any and every form of abortion including late-term and partial birth abortions and will have the government pay for them. It will make the murder of babies (abortion) a form of birth control. He is open about this.

Mr. Obama according to the www.ontheissues.org is a hard-core liberal and recent revelations of past interviews shows that he is very pro-Socialist and wants to redistribute our wealth and thinks that the way that our Constitution is worded to keep that from occurring is a serious flaw. He gets a perfect score from the gay, lesbian, and transgendered activist groups. And he has sat under a very violent, Anti-American, Anti-white pastor for many years and attributes his religious understanding to him, and should we take notice of this?

THE COMPROMISE: People who are Christians and say that they love God are ready to vote for a man who is against MANY of the main moral and theological points that the Bible makes because of either their displeasure with the current president (and he claims that he is going to bring change or has plans… vague though they may be), or they think that he will HELP THEIR WALLETS.

Luke 16:13 (KJV) No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

AS A CHILD OF GOD, THEN YOU HAVE TO DECIDE IF YOU ARE GOING TO FOLLOW THE SPIRIT OF THIS WORLD AND MONEY, OR ARE YOU GOING TO FOLLOW GOD!

But understand that if you follow the world and you follow what is best for your finances and ignore what is RIGHT and WRONG, then you have yoked yourself to an unbeliever and the darkness of this world, and God (the one which is more serious) will react to that.

Jesus said that if we loved Him, then we would keep His commandments and 1 John says that this is how that we know that we are truly born again that we keep His commandments and that they are not grievous. So, if your love for God is what it is supposed to be, you don’t want anything to do with EVIL and those who OPENLY PROMOTE EVIL including political evil.

If we help to elect evil, then we have a part of that evil. If the person goes in under false pretenses, and it sounds alright and we vote without knowing that they are evil, then that is one thing. But when someone is openly evil, and we vote for them anyway, then we have a part of the evil that they bring.

There is a portion of guilt that will be ours. And if we knowingly support evil when we could have supported good, then we shall answer to God. James 4:17 (KJV) Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Not only that, but if we know that God says something is wrong, and we do something to support that wrong, then we are guilty as well. We are saying that, “yeah, I know that the Bible is against this but I think that we need it anyway because of ‘whatever’.” You are saying that YOU KNOW MORE THAN GOD AND THAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO YOUR WAY ANYWAY.

1 Samuel 15:23 (KJV) For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

This is the very cause of King Saul being rejected by God. He went ahead and made excuses why he was doing it HIS WAY instead of Yahweh’s, but God said that he was in rebellion and to God it was as the SIN OF WITCHCRAFT. Witchcraft tries to take power and control where God has not given it. God hates this sin. And it will cost you and me when we indulge in it in our pride.

Until late in this election, I had my own quandary to get through. I found troubles supporting either major party’s candidate. Some changes at the end with the Vice Presidential Choices helped me make my decision, but I do have this to say. There are more than 2 parties in this election, and there are some godly men (including a minister of the gospel) that stands for American Constitutional Rights in this race.

There are more than 2 choices. If you cannot find in your heart that it is right to go with either major party, then there is a choice. I am not telling you who to vote for, but I do tell you that as Christians we are to be SALT and LIGHT in this dark world and to make a difference in the world around us.

We really do not need to vote for a lesser evil, but in the way that God, and good sense leads us.

There is an economic disaster ahead for us no matter who is in leadership. When the interest payments on what this nation has borrowed is greater than our capacity to pay… which potentially might come early in the coming year, then the value of the dollar will become NOTHING. Our savings and our money will become useless.

This opens the door for the new Amero and the North American Union to take control. We have been set up. A depression is coming worse than was experienced in the 1930’s. We need to make preparations for this looks to happen before the Tribulation. It is coming, no matter who is in leadership. We need to pray though for someone that God can use to bring some wisdom and sense back to the matter, for there has not been a lot of that since Ronald Reagan left office. We have been set up.

I want help for our finances, but friends, there are GREATER EVILS than financial hardship! That hook has been used historically in the last century to bring in both the NAZIs in Germany and FASCISTS in Italy, and the COMMUNISTS in Russia and others. They used financial promises of change to bring in VAST EVILS that opposed the living God and the freedom of their peoples.

Back when Bill Clinton was first elected president, I was ministering the Sunday after that at the local Nursing Home. Mr. Clinton had made very open statements about what he would do to help the homosexual agenda and help abortion rights as soon as he was elected. As soon as he was in office, he made some moves that specifically dealt with those issues.

There was a lady there at the Nursing Home who would visit a loved one there, and said to me, “I think that we made a mistake electing this president in office after what he did this week.”

I looked at her and shook my head thinking, “Maybe you made a mistake, but he was open and honest about what he was going to do. That is why I voted against him. Maybe I didn’t keep him out of office, but in Heaven God recorded that I did the right thing and my conscience is clear.” I could not believe that naïve attitude that so many Christians had about it. The promise of economic gains was enough to make them compromise with PURE EVIL.

We have one candidate who sounds like he got his training from Karl Marx in taking from those who have through 40% taxes and giving to those who do not. COMMUNISM has not worked ever economically, and always leads to an oppressive government that hates true Christianity, Jews, and Personal Freedoms. ARE WE AWAKE?

Ephesians 5:14-16 (KJV) “ 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

Ephesians 5:14-16 (AMP) “ Therefore He says, Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine (make day dawn) upon you and give you light. [Isa. 26:19; 60:1, 2.] 15 Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), 16 Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. “

Time to wake up! It is time to redeem the time! Don’t let evil just march into office unopposed! Look, if you can’t support the popular choices, there are other more godly ones. Pray about it and use biblical principles and God will guide you to what to do.

But, do not compromise with evil! If you do, then evil will rise up to bite you and all of us in the end.

We are called to be faithful to God! If we love the Lord, then we will keep His commandments. We are commanded by scriptures to NOT YOKE OURSELVES WITH UNBELIEVERS.

If we do so in this election, then have thumbed our noses metaphorically to God and we will reap what we have sown.

A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. “
