A Time of Visitation

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV) “ 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. “

Jeremiah 6:15-19 (KJV) “ 15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD. 16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. 17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them. 19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.”

We have entered into a prophetically predicted time in the Last Days just before the coming 70^th Week of Years of Daniel or Tribulation before the end of this age. Jesus Christ is getting ready to come back, and it is very naïve to think that everything would be nice and peaceful before the Catching Away of the Church and the Midnight Cry to come to the Marriage Supper in Heaven while all Hell breaks loose on Earth.

The Storm is already brewing and the perilous times of the last generation of this age when the spirit of Antichrist would reach its climax is upon us already. You do not have to wait for a Falling Away or Apostasy to come, it is already here and people are reveling in evil and hating that which is pure and holy.

Even those who call themselves Christians have become ashamed to be truly “holy” and to stand for Jesus Christ. Society and Hollywood and music and print has become brash in their flaunting of immorality and evil, and proclaimed that this is a new century and this is what we are; and that nobody had better be politically incorrect enough to point out that they are “wrong”.

People who once knew better, now gets angry if their sin is exposed in church or in private. People who once loved the Lord and wanted to please Him more than themselves now has no problem playing with Satan and compromising with real sin. THEY FEEL NO SHAME.

There is real sin in the church today… sin in the camp across the churches of this nation. Fornication and adultery and homosexuality and pornography is not just a problem outside of the walls of the church, but serious compromise has been given to immorality under the guise that we are the blessed of God and that grace covers a lifestyle of sin. And people have gotten to where they do not blush.

We are in the same condition that Judah and Israel were in before the Babylonians came to carry them away… before they lost everything in the judgment of God. They felt that they were the people of God, but thought also that they could do things that honors God’s enemies (Satan and sin) and that there would be no problems with it. They have forgotten the truth.

But there comes a time of visitation after God has given us a space to repent and we refuse… after that, God will visit us. And though we expect the ungodly that has flaunted God and rejected God outright to be judged, the truth is that in the TIME OF VISITATION after they have ignored that timeframe to repent, the ones whom much has been given will fall along with the ones that we expect to fall.

A TIME OF VISITATION CAN BE A GOOD THING OR A VERY BAD THING depending on where you are spiritually at the time that God manifests. The same glory of God that heals and does miracles is also what struck Annanias and Saphira dead.

If you have been praying and repenting and seeking the face of God, the a Visitation of the Lord will bring revival and restoration and a healing of the land. Revival as seen in the Book of Acts occurred as the presence of the Lord was poured out and He Visited His People.

The church in Thyatira had a woman who had a spirit of Jezebel within her. She not only was teaching a false teaching while claiming to be a prophetess herself, but she was leading others there in the church into sexual immorality and idolatry. God gave her a space to repent… I am so glad that we serve a God that gives us a chance even when we might not deserve it.

Do NOT waste the chance that God gives to you. Because there comes a point where God will visit you if you refuse His grace:

Revelation 2:18-23 (KJV) “ 18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. 20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.”

Even Jezebel at Thyatira and her followers were given a chance to repent, and they blew it! The pushed against the truth of God both behind the scenes and openly until God visited them. There comes a space to repent, and after that God will visit us.

We are told that perilous times shall come in the Last Times. The last generation before the Tribulation and return of Jesus Christ shall see very perilous times and a falling away. They will embrace evil and try to claim Jesus at the same time. They will lose their ability to even blush and be ashamed when they are doing wrong.

There is a lukewarmness in countless others in the church that will keep them from being called to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb… they are the 5 foolish virgins who are not ready and are seen characterized by Laodicea by the lukewarm that God spits out: Revelation 3:15-19 (KJV) “ 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. “

BUT THERE IS ANOTHER KIND OF VISITATION THAT WE DO WANT. When we repent and seek the face of God, then He shows up to bless and empower and to give life to our worship and our walk with Him. Being a Christian was never meant to be some dead religious experience, and God has promised to show up and bring His touch if we do certain things.

We are told to seek the “old paths”. Folks, that does not mean doing it like they did it 20 or 50 years ago. That means going “back to the Word of God” to the path that God has laid out Himself. That means going back to the LIVING WAY, JESUS CHRIST and walking in Him! That means letting the Word of God come alive in us!

John 4:23-24 (KJV) “ 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. “

God promises here that if you worship Him in Spirit and in Truth together, that HE WILL SHOW UP! He is looking for you! God is looking for you literally if you will worship God His way. Get into the Word and the Holy Spirit and submit yourself to Him and He will manifest or show up to your life.

Acts 2:17-18 (KJV) “ 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: “

Not only is there a falling away in the Last Days, but God said that He would pour out His Spirit upon all flesh. Young and old and male and female, we all have our part in this move of God. And in this last generation, God has been raising up prophetic watchmen to sound the alarm that Jesus is coming and to prepare. God is pouring out His Spirit, and the watchmen are crying out!

· People corrupted by sexual immorality from pornography to homosexuality to adultery and fornication set free and given real love by the power of Jesus Christ?

1 Peter 2:12 (KJV) “ Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. “

Then what God does through us will touch the Gentiles, or the heathen without God and they will see the good things that God is doing through us and will glorify God! This occurs when God visits us!
